I've noticed that some of you don't have an avatar, and would like to encourage you to upload an avatar. Whether it's a photo or some other image, that's up to you, but the site looks prettier when the participants have an avatar, plus it's easier to follow conversations.

An easy way to add an avatar is to mouseover the small version of your default avatar (male symbol or female symbol, or a question mark) in the upper right side of the screen. In the pop-up that appears, one of the choices will be "Avatar."

Click on the "Avatar" link, and that will pop up the Avatar Editor. If you have an avatar already tied in to the email address that you use, and you want to use that here, choose the "Use Gravatar" option. Click the "Test" button to make sure that it is set up properly. Otherwise, upload an image of at least 200x200 pixels. When it appears, you can drag it so that it crops where you'd like it to in the circle, while the larger image will be visible in your profile.
