    Hi everyone,

I'm working on a research project on stainless steels. Common perception of stainless steel is usually that it's perfect and it's suitable for almost all industrial purposes. Stainless steels are used for automotive parts, turbines, valves, and even medical instruments. Understandably, as its name already promises so much. No rust, no stains, no flaws.

However, stainless steels aren't indestructible. At all. According to this website, stainless steel can be improved even more. They say that wear protection is often not enough when it comes to stainless steels. They improve these stainless steels with a treatment called Borinox. Has anyone ever heard of that? I'm trying to find out more and would really like more sources :)
