If you are replying to another member of the forum, that person will be notified when he or she next logs onto the forum. However, there may be times when you want to call someone's attention to a post that you are entering into the forum.

You would do this by tagging the other user. In the post or profile post message, simply enter the other member’s username with an @ sign in front of the username, and the software will convert that into a tag that the user will be notified of when he or she next logs in. I have limited the use of tags to five per post.

Again, there is no need to tag someone if you are quoting a portion of their post, and please don't misuse this feature to annoy people.
